The "May 4th" Group

creative werks' team of young professionals, properly named “May 4th” after the date the group was first started, just had their annual meeting last Friday. Three years ago the group was put together in hopes of gaining new business perspective from a younger generation of thinkers. A group of 9 young associates years ago, has quickly grown to be more than twice the size today. The team's original goal was to generate ideas in order to make creative werks a better place to work, whether that was social outings, philanthropy opportunities, cross training attempts or a monthly company TED Talk . Now, as the company has grown the “May 4th” group has changed its direction, primarily focusing on ways each young person can become a better business person and stronger individual overall. How can we create opportunities to learn more about the company, mold ourselves into better leaders and also be able to increase communication between members of “May 4th” and also throughout the company?

On Friday, the team met at the WIT downtown Chicago with a facilitator, and member of the creative werks advisory board, in attemps to collaborate on new ideas, the teams structure and to reflect on the  initiatives we implemented last year.   The day was extremely productive as a large group of leaders worked together in achieving the day’s goals.
