Teresa, a native of Wisconsin and an Illinois-transplant, manages creative werks' extensive warehouse and shipping department.  A graduate of University of Wisconsin - Madison, Teresa received her BS in Industrial Engineering and is skilled in problem solving and mastering sudoku puzzles.  While growing up in Madison, Teresa was exposed to sailing and has continued her love of sailing with her husband and two daughters.  Read on to find out more about Teresa, what - or who - sparked her interest in sailing, and who she would dine with, if given the chance.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in various parts of Wisconsin but spent the majority of my youth in Madison.

What was your first impression of creative werks?

I knew it was a unique company when I arrived at the yellow door and that feeling was reinforced in the creative way the company culture and values were prominently displayed.  It was a refreshing change from the corporate structure of my last organization.

Sailing is a cool hobby of yours, how did you get into it?

I hate to say a boy, but...Ok, the truth is: I started racing sailboats in high school (with my now husband) and really enjoyed the competitive nature and physical aspect of scow racing.

If you could sail one of the seven seas, which one would you sail?

Most of the sailing I have done is on inland lakes so the idea of sailing one of the seven seas is a little intimidating.  A good compromise would be to sail in the Caribbean Sea around the Virgin Islands.  I could experience the beauty and wonder of ocean sailing while still seeing land in the distance.

How do you de-stress?

A good audio book and a walk with my dog.

If you could possess any superpower, what would that be?

Time travel.  I would love to visit and experience firsthand different periods in history.

If you were the last sole survivor on Earth, what's the first thing you would do?

I'm very practical so I would probably look for drinking water and then start exploring.

What professional advice would you give your daughters as they enter the workforce?

I encourage them to find something they truly love doing that utilizes their natural gifts while inspiring passion in their hearts.

Do you have any irrational fears?

I can't watch a horror movie even if it is cheesy or the sound is turned off.

If you could share a meal with anyone in the world who would it be and what would you eat?

It would be fun to lunch with J.K. Rowling, a great storyteller who has the ability to make characters come to life. Maybe the menu could include some butter beer.
