We create packaging using less material, reducing waste and ensuring that the materials we do create may be reused and recycled. We offer our clients sustainable packaging alternatives to further promote ecological balance and social responsibility. In addition to developing sustainable packaging solutions, our company has an in-house recycling program which recycles 100% of the paper and corrugate that is consumed. Every associate participates in our corporate going green werks program through mandated strategic plan recommendations. It is in the fabric of our business.
We have partnered with the Environmental Protection Agency and currently purchase 100% alternative energy from a wind farm in Southern Illinois. In 2009, we reduced energy consumption by 8.8% while accommodating significant sales growth. Through innovative programs such as efficient lighting, investing in wind energy, and keeping a climate controlled facility, we believe we are doing a small part to promote environmental awareness and encourage social responsibility.
